The Formed Drip Leg Heater is designed for use with pressurized chlorine manifold systems to help maintain the manifold piping at an elevated temperature. Heating the manifold helps evaporate liquid chlorine and prevents chlorine gas from re-liquefying inside the piping.
Proper manifold heating is an important part of maintaining a chlorine gas feed system. If liquid chlorine is allowed to collect in the manifold, it can increase corrosion within the piping and may increase the risk of a pressurized chlorine gas leak. Liquid chlorine entering the vacuum regulator can also damage vacuum system components.
This formed heater is designed specifically for installation on chlorine manifold drip-leg piping to help maintain consistent heat where it is needed.
